What is the Automatic Payment Program?
The City of Langdon Automatic Payment program will allow you to receive your City of Langdon utility bill as usual, but you will be notified on the bill card that the amount due to the City will be automatically drafted from your bank and you should not submit a payment. Your bank account will be debited automatically on the 15th of every month. This service is provided to customers free of charge and all personal and financial information will be stored securely. Once you submit your enrollment form, automatic payments can begin immediately for the next month's billing. There is no waiting or test period.
What if I sign up and want to change or withdraw from the program?You may withdraw from or change your information for the Automatic Payment Program by picking up a new enrollement form, checking "Stop" or "Change", and resubmitting the form to City Hall. Your changes will be applied prior to the next billing as long as the form is received before the next month's billing is issued.
Automatic payments returned for insufficient funds will be treated as non-payment on account. The City of Langdon reserves the right to deactivate customers enrolled in the Automated Payment Program should non-sufficient funds become and issue.
What if I sent in the wrong reading last month or for some other reason my bill is incorrect?
You can always contact us anytime between the time you receive your bill and the time we request to have your account debited. After this time, disputed charges and billing errors can still be corrected, but once direct debit payment is requested or received, billing corrections will be applied to your account in the form of an account credit. We will be able to issue refund checks to you immediately if your account is debited over $100.00 in error.
How do I enroll?
If you are interested in the Automatic Payment Program, please print and fill out the Automatic Payment Enrollment form located below and return it to Langdon City Hall.
Please be sure to include your City of Langdon utility account number, signature, and a voided check blank with your enrollment form. Forms submitted without the information will not be enrolled in the Automatic Payment Program.
If you have multiple utility accounts, you will be required to fill out a separate form for each account for record keeping purposes.
